Maintaining Aging Properties: How Resyndication Falls Short for Smaller, Older Buildings

Host: SCANPH

This is a session on Day 1 of SCANPH’s 2021 Conference: Piece Back Together, October 27-29.

Join us for a special asset management session at this year’s conference to explore potential solutions for a lack of resources to renovate smaller, aging properties — particularly the challenges of needing alternatives to resyndication or other viable solutions to make resyndication feasible. SCANPH developer members have noted that such small, older buildings don’t have reserves. Hear from developer organizations about how their portfolios are impacted as well as residents served by these properties. We’ll examine the challenges from a lending perspective and financial solutions that need exploration or greater attention.
