Solar 101PART II: Solar Resources for Multifamily Affordable Housing

Part II focuses on providing an overview of the landscape of solar funding and resources for multifamily affordable housing in California including low-income energy efficiency and solar programs such as the Low-Income Weatherization Program (LIWP) and the Solar on Multifamily Affordable Housing (SOMAH) program, along with program case studies. Topics of discussion:

  • Co-leveraging LIHTC and energy efficiency programs
  • Deep-dive into California’s major solar funding programs
  • Solar project analysis and feasibility 
  • Solar value proposition 
  • Design considerations for new and existing buildings 

This session is intended for affordable housing development and management professionals including asset managers, project managers, real estate directors, maintenance supervisors, operations and sustainability staff. Participation will be limited to these groups.
