Danielle M. Mazzella

Danielle M. Mazzella joined the California Housing Partnership in January 2016. As Associate Research Director, Danielle is responsible for research on the preservation of affordable housing and housing needs analyses at the state, regional, and local level with partners and local governments. She was promoted from Senior Research Manager in 2024.

Prior to joining the California Housing Partnership, Danielle worked at the Non-Profit Housing Association of Northern California (NPH) where she collected data on existing financing mechanisms and policies for affordable housing, performed GIS analysis, and assisted in legislative advocacy efforts. 

Danielle received a M.A. in Geography from San Francisco State University in 2016, and received a B.A. in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2013.
