Ray McPherson

Ray McPherson joined the California Housing Partnership as a Research Associate in 2022. They support the Partnership’s affordable housing data visualization and preservation projects through data analysis, spatial analysis and automation.

Prior to joining the Partnership, Ray was a GIS Programmer Analyst at Renewable Resources Group where they automated repetitive tasks, created user-friendly tools that performed a variety of analyses, and were a main point of contact for troubleshooting technical issues. They have also volunteered their time and skills to organizations such as the California Immigrant Youth Justice Alliance and the Center for Identity and Inclusion at CU Denver. Ray received a MA of Anthropology and a Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Science at the University of Colorado Denver, and a BA of Anthropology at the University of Wyoming.
