The Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) Program allows public housing agencies to leverage public and private debt and equity in order to reinvest in the public housing stock.
CHPC staff is currently working with several housing authorities in California to access the benefits of RAD, including San Francisco, Oakland, Santa Clara County, Fresno City and County, Sutter County, and San Luis Obispo. CHPC is assisting these clients with state-of-the art RAD recapitalizations, including portfolio-wide integration of project-based vouchers awarded through the Section 18 demolition/disposition process.
