In light of evolving current events, our organization is encouraging staff who can to take all or at least part of this Friday off to commemorate Juneteenth. We have invited staff to use this time to reflect, advocate, grieve, or whatever feels most important in the wake of George Floyd and now Rayshard Brooks’ deaths, and the large upheaval happening during this moment. This is a cause that feels especially important this year as we want to support the campaign to make June 19th a national holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States.
